Nominator's project description

Professor Rogach is a world-recognized expert in materials science with a focus on the synthesis and the optoelectronic properties of colloidal quantum dots. He developed an aqueous synthesis route for colloidal nanocrystals and has made many important contributions to pave the way for optoelectronic quantum dot applications particularly for the infrared spectral region. During his research stay in Germany, he plans to initiate scientific collaborations on novel colloidal quantum dot concepts for gas sensors and anisotropic light emitters.
